(i retrieve information technology was the top pro model merely i am non sure). now i checked the adidas website and they have four models which look interesting: - Evil Eye pro (#126) - Evil Eye explorer (#134) - Elevation Climacool (#136) - Acme pro (#141) since they are actually pricey and i consider sunglasses a disquisitional piece of equipment, i'd like to have them in my hands and on my head earlier spending the bucks. now i don't seem to notice a single store in greater l.a. which has them on stock (they only have the fashion models ) i doubt this can be true, i am just looking in the wrong places i suppose. so i need the help of y'all long-time-locals: where do i detect adidas outdoor sunglasses in los angeles???. of course any comment on any of the models is appreciated as well! many cheers! jonas a141.png  Description: Sorry, merely registered users tin view/download attachments. redfly Topic Starter Joined: 05 Apr 2005 Posts: 968 Mail service karma: +155 / -7 Location: Zürich, Switzerland	Posted: Fri October 26, 2007 2:32 UTC   Post discipline: RE: adidas sunglasses in los angeles hey kurt, many thanks. the problem is that the stores which are listed on the website only have the "way" models, they do not even have the ones i am looking for in their catalogues/computers or whatever they wait things up in... i called several of them. current state is: i phoned up adidas u.s. customer relations - they referred me to silhouette (their retailer network for sunglasses) - they gave me a list of eye doctors and sun-glass shops which take a re-vendor contract with them. ways they can guild the glasses and transport them back if not sold. chosen the offset one on the list, discussion goes like: Shop: no we don't take them Me: yes, simply silhouette told me you could order them and ship dorsum S: no we can't 1000: (i insist and ask over again) South: well, we could, but information technology costs us 25$, so nosotros don't exercise this M: if i pay you the 25bucks? S: no, yous know its more involved, all the work and stuff... blabla... Yard: (i realize they just don't desire to practice information technology, because its actual _work_ for them(!?)) ... so we chit-conversation a bit back and along, finally she says: i will see if we have similar ones from other brands which could fit your purpose and will telephone call you back if we have - needless to say my phone remained mute and then far... will telephone call the others on the listing tomorrow, but probably they give the same bullocks... cheers jonas

I have used Oakley for a few years... I tin attempt them just about anywhere for fit and looks, and then I order from an optical shop... I also don't become the Oakley lenses as they are reallly expensive... only about skilful optical shops can put in their own lenses no problems... my terminal fix cost about $206 Canadian for a set up of Oakley Gascans (got a deal). I have done this with two pairs of Oakleys and one pair of Smith's with very good results. Tony ps my perscription style frames are Oakley besides. Once I broke the frames, and it was going to have a couple weeks to get new frames. I went to a "sunglass Hut" that gives 100% money back deal no questions asked, inside 30 days. I bought the matching not perscriiption frames, put my lenses in them, and waited for my Oakley Warrenty to come in, and then returned them none the wiser... and my Optomatrist laughed saying she didn't like sunglass hut anyways. Kind of cheeky, but man, if y'all can find like shooting fish in a barrel to detect frames that work, things tin be much more reliable in example of failure.

redffiftyy Topic Starter Joined: 05 Apr 2005 Posts: 968 Post karma: +155 / -7 Location: Zürich, Switzerland	Posted: Thu November 01, 2007 5:24 UTC   Post subject field: ordered! hey simon, thank you for the hint, yep ~130usd looks like the cheapest you tin can go them. i ordered a pair just yesterday over here: http://elitecycling.biz/page.cfm?PageID=55&action=details&sku=EW0034 (thank you to esp who mailed me the link) i called upwardly a local eyes shop and they gave me a quote for 100$ upwards for the prescription inset (150$ with anti reflex blanket). tony, thank you for the tip - yes next time i might expect out for a "local" brand i just hunted for the adidas since i had one before (lost it) and really liked it, the spectacles i had seemed to me the perfect prescription paragliding sunglasses (or every bit perfect as it gets) - i thought i would save some time and effort not having to do and then much market research - but that was apparently a very naive assumption given the time i spent tracking them downwards... i will permit you guys know what to how much the package accounts to in the cease... j

(not merely marketing, merely sunglasses are the best) Do you know the difference between PRO and CLIMACOOL model maybe Jonas? 135$ is actually cheap, in europe cost is 200+ EUR normally! Nice plan, andthey expect style better than they used to. Call them and see well-nigh prices... perhaps they are cheaper than they are in some places. States should be cheaper though. redffiftyy Topic Starter Joined: 05 April 2005 Posts: 968 Post karma: +155 / -7 Location: Zürich, Switzerland	Posted: Tue November 13, 2007 21:56 UTC   Mail subject: got it! so my long and painful quest comes to an finish as i have now in my hands a beautiful new pair of adidas tiptop climacool sunglasses with a prescription insert the whole package costed me ~260$ (135 frame, 125 rx insert). which i consider a really fair price for such spectacles (i paid much more than before for the older model). and then for everyone looking for adept prescription sunglasses for flying i can merely recommend them. but exist warned nearly the hassle it might involve to become them (depending the state you are in). thanks for your aid everyone! cheers jonas
